Newman, Ill.—Howard L. Ogg, 96, Covington, formerly of Newman, died at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 1989 at Covington Manor Health Care Center.
He was born July 21, 1892 in Newman, the son of William and sally Ann Kindred Ogg. He was married Sept. 22, 1913 in Tuscola, Ill., to Birdie Wright, who preceded him in death in 1967.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the North Salem Christian Church.
Surviving are three nephews, Arlos Ogg, Montell Ogg and Emerson Davis; five nieces, Lucille Sutton, Thelma Pollock, Norene Sollars, Elsie Trimble and Nellie Potter. He was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Friday at Newman Cemetery with Joines Funeral Home, Newman, in charge of arrangements.
